The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to publicize the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Boxer's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Interaction
In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really going ahead.
